Worth Watching it....

Based on a blockbuster 1973 novel by Sakyo Komatsu, Sinking of Japan follows the horrible events that occur when it is revealed that the island nation of Japan will sink into the ocean in less than one year!

Earthquakes, tidal waves and volcanic eruptions roil the country, leaving millions dead and stranded.

Japan’s only hope lies with one plan and one man.

1st stop ~ NEWTON CIRCLE

Location: One of the Sugarcane store....

Be a sugarcane seller, and sell the sugarcane juice that we make...
If unable to do so, the team had to eat up 10 glasses of ice cube...
Well we did it, and proceed to the next stop....

2nd Stop ~ Fort Canning Hill / Location : The Fort

To grab a frog from the pail and to transfer to another pail...

Yuck... so yucky.... So HUGE also...

I hate slimy thing...

No choice... each member have to participate, if not, point will be deducted...

I can feel the frog stomach so soft, dare not dare to grab too hard, afraid it might hurt... but it slipped off from my hand....

We took a cab back to MES.. hoping that we could get into the TOP 10, but... ....

Actually should be 15th or 16th one, but another cab had not reach yet, so we had to wait for all member to be present before we report back to the judge...

Ah Yah.... Anyway, we did our best le...

Walk around Causeway Point and it time to part ...

I was left alone wondering about 1 1/2 hrs before Chuang & Qing Yun arrived as Causeway Point... It was 8.45pm le...

Chuang & Qing Yun went to Sport Link to get Heng Zhong a Nike Jacket while I had already pass my gift to Ling to pass it to Heng Zhong...

Reach Heng Zhong b'day party @ about 9.15pm...

Just eat only loh. coz nobody I know except his family...

After eating, Ling, Chuang, Qing Yun & I went to the park behind to have a chat...

It was about 11.45pm when we went home...

Synopsis:

“L” in the status of a divinity for his capacity and skill in gathering information and in reasoning has solved unresolved cases in the world, and now tightens the investigative screw over these cases, but Light also cleverly manipulating the notebook of death, tosses and shakes the investigation.

The future of mankind is at the mercy of crucial and fierce battles of the two brains.

Rating : 7/10 ,, did get a bit confused initially but still get the picture in the end....

An all-star cast brings this remake of Wai Keung Lau and Alan Mak's INFERNAL AFFAIRS to the screen. Martin Scorsese's film follows the story of two Boston police officers, one of whom is a member of the Irish Mafia who has infiltrated the ranks of the police, and the other is a bona fide cop sent on an undercover mission to join the Irish Mafia.

The story begin...

The events of September 11 left an indelible mark on most Americans, and certainly on those in the New York City area.

Yet as fresh as the images seem, it’s easy to forget the actual grit, sacrifice, and uncertainty of that day. Director Oliver Stone captures the essence of 9/11 by focusing on the true story of two Port Authority Police Department officers who were trapped beneath the wreckage of the fallen World Trade Center. Veteran officer Sergeant John McLoughlin (Nicholas Cage) and his team, including rookie Will Jimeno (Michael Pena) are gathering equipment to enter the burning Twin Towers when the concourse comes crashing down around them.

Twenty feet below the surface, pinned by debris and unable to reach anyone by radio, the officers must rely on their own will--and on each other--to survive.

Above ground, their families watch the towers fall, uncertain whether or not McLoughlin and Jimeno are there, since they are normally assigned to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Like so many that day, Donna McLoughlin (Maria Bello) and Allison Jimeno (Maggie Gyllenhaal) wait for news at home surrounded by their families, fearing the worst and praying for the best.

Stone’s film depicts the horror and heartbreak of the victims, survivors, and their families with an understated, subtle touch.

From the ash and dust covering everyone and everything to the dazed expressions of the workers leaving the towers to the steaming twisted metal remains of the World Trade Center, attention to detail is exceedingly realistic.

Rather than being political or sensationalistic, this is a film about everyday heroes--men and women doing their best in the face of an unspeakable event.

It may be just one story of many from September 11, but it represents the efforts, emotions, and reactions of so many on that fateful day.

Ling B'day 6 Oct/Fri cum MOoncake Festival

Taken a day leave just to be spend time with Ling ...

Planning to go Sentosa for a tanned, but Ling work very late yesterday nite...

So, we decided to meet up at Woodland Civil Ctr for a KTV session...

Met up with her @ 10.30am...

Chuang turn up about 12pm as she is at the Polycinic for a medical check up.... ....

Didn't really know how to sing, but Ling encourage me and guide me through the Chinese Wording... ...
